May 22, 2008 will always be a special day for my nephew, Jeremy. That is the day, Jeremy and his classmates graduated from high school. It is hard to believe my oldest nephew will be going off to college. I remember his so much as a child, and glad I was there to see him reach many of his milestones. His first step, his first tooth, and many other achievements in his life. It is great having a close relationship with my nephews and nieces. Although there was a limited amount of people that could attend his graduation ceremonty, he knows we are all very proud of him and his accomplishments in life. In Fall he will be going away to Lewis University, which is only like an hour away.
CONGRATULATIONS
JEREMY D. WISEMAN
DE LA SALLE HIGH SCHOOL
CLASS OF 2008
We knew this day was coming, since the day you were born,
But we never realized how much our emotions would be torn.
We started with the baby boy who did nothing but eat and sleep
He’d smile with those cute chubby cheeks but we never heard a peep.
As time went by he learned to talk at nine months, and walk at a year.
Despite the Boo-Boo’s on his knees
He liked to play all sorts of sports and games;
And loved to sing his A-B-C’s
Before we knew it there he was- In line for his first day of school,
Our separation had us scared, but he thought it was cool.
He graduated from St. Barb’s, and sailed right on through “D”,
An honor student, cream of the crop, we were as proud as we could be.
Now the realization is kicking in and there is nothing we can do
We know you are leaving De La Salle, but now you are leaving us too.
It’s all part of growing up, and we know we shouldn’t fear it
but we will really miss our little guy and our hearts don’t want to hear it.
You’re going off to college, a new phase of your life to start
And we’ll be the first to say “Go get em Jer!”
Despite this boo-boo in our hearts.
This day is fast approaching, you can bet our tears will glisten
It’s time to see how well we talked
And just how much you listened.
Just remember we’re very proud of you
That’s all there is left to say
As we watch you spread your new found wings
…..and slowly fly away.
Wishing you only the best of what life has to offer!
We knew you could do it Jer!
We are very proud of you!!
