Cute "Crabby" Cards

Today, I played around with this Stampin Up set caled Crab & Company. I just love what you can do with this set. I am sure it will be one of my favorite sets.  These cards I created were Snappy Birthday Cards. My niece Linsey wanted to make a card for her dad's birthday which is Friday.  So after she completed her homework we started to work on them.  She did a great job and I know her dad will just love this card because of all the love she put in it.

While she was doing her card, I was just playing around.  I used the good ole 3D glossy gel pens  to color the crab. Then I used squiggly eyes and some brads along with ribbon.

Moo Monday Night

I was playing around with my latest Bossie the Cow stamp from www.CornishHeritageFarms.com. Asela Hopkins did a great job designing a collection of stamps for CHF. I stamped the cow with black ink and colored it with colored pencils and my 3-D gel pen on the black spots.  Again you can see how the layout can change the appearance of the stamp to make every card look different in some way.

Inside this card I stamped it with "an udder year older".

More Pumpkin Cards

The other night I posted some of pumpkin cards. Well here are some more with some different layouts on them. These stamps were bought through stampingfreak.com. It is amazing the different ideas you can come up with the same stamps to make the cards look a bit different.

Santa Face

This is a Santa Face stamp that I bought through TAC. It is a very small and cute stamp. It is all of the same stamp, I just layered the paper different and used variety of ribbon. On the front I stamped "wish" from the Gina K collection and the inside says."wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year".  Since this is just a cute stamp, it I just colored the hat red with some green patches on it, then used stickles glitter for the hat so it stuck out. I used colored pencils for his face and a clear gel pen for his beard. It took me maybe 45 minutes to do all these cards.  The bottom picture is a close up.

Gamsol Technique

This morning at 7:30a.m., I was still in the stamping mood. So I pulled out one of my new stamps that I received from recently from www.CornishHeritageFarms.com. Actually it was a stamp I purchased through Liz's clearance sale. She reminds my sister of Alice in Wonderland.  I colored her basically with Primacolor Colored Pencils along with my Gamsol. I used my 3-d embossing gel pen from Sakura to color her shoes to give her that new shoe shine.  The sentiment "make a wish" is from the Gina K collection. I thought it would be perfect in this picture as her eyes look closed as she is looking at the box. I am sure there are many sentiments that would work with this stamp. I tried something different with the paper and ribbon.

Halloween 2006

Here are some of the pictures of Kaitlyn from last Halloween.  Kaitlyn wanted to go as Chuckie, and she did make a good one.

That is her hair, that we sprayed and ratted like that. Her dad made all the scars and bloog on her face. Grama made the shirt.

                                                                                                                              

Brandon

Well these are some pictures of my youngest nephew being silly.  My niece Kaitlyn gave him one of those fake  cigarette candies. These are some of the novelty candies I buy the kids. Brings back my childhood.   Guess he has been watching his parents who are smokers. He seems to be a pro at 19 months.

Fall Cards

Tonight I was playing around with some pumpkin stamps along with different techniques. I think I finally mastered the Colored Pencil with Gamsol technique. I tried the Liquid Applique on the pumpkins, it looks really puffy in person, but funny in the picture.

Get Well Cards

Well I thought I would post a few of the get well cards I made this evening. Guess you can say I am in the stamping mood.  These stamps are from Katiebug Rubber Stamps.

Candle Stamping

Hello, been  a while since I posted anything.

Today, I decided to try the Candle Stamping. I saw this on Gina K's website, and thought I would try it. She gave step by step instructions on how to do it.  So today I got my supplies out for it.(candles,tissue paper,ink, embossing gun).

So first I tried a red candle for Christmas. I measured the paper so it wrapped around the candle.I pulled out my newest Crab and Company stamps. I stamped them with black ink on tissue paper. I turned on my embossing gun and let it work its magic. The only problem I saw was the red candle is really a white candle with little red wax over it, so it melted some.  But it didn't come out that bad for my first attempt. I then tried it with a small votive candle with just a blue seashell. Finally I tried it on a vanilla pillar with some TAC halloween stamps. I tied it with ribbon.  Very easy to make, try it when you have a chance.
