Week 1 Update......................

Well I thought I would post an update on my Huge Blog Candy.  I realize that times are tough for everyone with the economy.  So for those people who can't afford to give much, there is no minimum.  You can give a $1, $2 or whatever you can spare. to enter the contest. This is tax deductible! This is helping a huge cause.

 

There are many prizes waiting to be won and only a few entries.  The contest is open until March 17th. Here is the link again Blog Candy Contest.  As I type this,Ryan is not even in the top three of his school. He has raised $45.00 so far. We as crafters can't let this happen.

 

So get the word out and lets see his amount go up.

Extra Extra..Hair all about it. (AGAIN)!!

HUGE BLOG CANDY GIVEAWAY!!

 Some of you may remember last year when my nephew Jeremy Wiseman participated in the St. Baldrick's Foundation and raised over $1300 thanks to you all.

Well this year, my nephew Ryan Kaput will be participating in St. Baldrick's Foundation "Shaving his way to Conquer Children's Cancer". Thiswill take place on St. Patrick's Day (March 17,2009). He wanted to do this as he has been touched by many family members and friends who have had cancer and are now survivors. My mother(his grandmother) is a survivor of kidney cancer, our cousin Donna who we lost to brain and lung cancer three years ago, leaving behind three young children: and two of our aunts, are survivors of breast cancer. We just lost a cousin to liver cancer last week. So when he had the opportunity to do this, he agreed to do it very proudly. Agreeing as a teenage boy, to shave your  to head help support children's cancer is a huge sacrifice to make. Notworrying if he has hair for his senior prom or his graduation.

Ryan is a senior at Mount Carmel High School in Chicago.  I have played a major roll in his life, as I took care of him while my sister was at work since he was four months old.  I have a great bond with my nieces and nephews, and support them in whatever they decide to do in life.  When he came and asked me if I would do this blog candy for him, I accepted and got to work. His goal is $1500.00

You ask...So how can I help??

I emailed several of our favorite companies, and explained the situation. They graciously agreed to donate blog candy for this cause. 

In order to be entered you need to do the following...

Then select the Donate Now.  Please be as  generous as you can, this is tax deductible and for a great cause.  Make sure you do not go Anonymous, as I will not be able to check your name. If you want to make a donation for a family member, you may, just stick their name in the comment so I can match names. Please Note: I can see names only on the donor's list, not amounts donated !! Remember this is to benefit Children's Cancer.

~~ When finished, come back to my blog and post a comment that you donated  You don't need to disclose the amount, that is confidential ! !

Where's my Keys??

So today  I pulled out the Heart & Lace set that was just recently released.. I stamped it with Memento Ink and colored with a variety of Copic inks.

The keychain I bought in my favorite place...you guessed it! Target's $1.00 spot. It was a package of 3 keychains, so I bought like 3 or 4 packs of them. Yes, I have been told I am greedy..but I hate to run out. So I buy everything in bulk.

Love is in the Air....

With Valentine's Day already next week, it's time to start thinking of cards to make for the "Love" of your life. 

This card only took me 10 minutes to make. Some of that time was because my printer is slow.

 

Cardstock: Garnet colored paper from Michaels.

Printed paper was a Free Treat from Belinda.  You can get your own here!

Shimmerz and Blingz Available Now!!

There are 35 colors, but to make this tower,I used two of Angel Wings.
